The First Dawn of Forever
Words cannot express the joy and love I feel as I wake in Uganda this morning, surrounded by the beauty of God's creation. Each piece speaks something special to me that only God would know. A beautiful yellow bird that makes me think of my father, a rose blooming that takes me to the day I gave my heart fully to the Lord.
I sit on my front porch surrounded by nature that shows me love as well as the sweet knowledge of those still tucked away in their beds—my family here, coming together, gathering to worship God in the everyday. To honor Him with our lives and to grow in healing, knowledge, and wisdom.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." – Psalm 19:1
Today is the first day that I realize the reality that I am here. It has been a long time coming, and we have so much ahead of us, but there is a joy in knowing that this is what God desires for us and we are never alone. In the three days I have been here, our family has rejoiced and struggled to establish connection and rhythm. There is beauty in the messiness of new beginnings, in the fumbling steps toward unity, in the honest wrestling with change.
God speaks through yellow birds and blooming roses. He whispers through the morning stillness and the laughter that will soon fill these rooms. He is in every adjustment, every moment of grace we extend to one another, every prayer whispered in uncertainty.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." – Romans 12:1-2

This porch will become sacred ground—a place where coffee is sipped, tears are shed, stories are shared, and God is praised. Here, we will learn what it means to be family in a way that transcends geography and convenience. Here, we will discover that worship isn't confined to Sunday mornings but spills into every ordinary moment made extraordinary by His presence.
"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." – Joshua 24:15
The journey ahead is unknown, but the God who brought us here is faithful. And that is enough.
Thank you for joining with us in prayer and support as we trust God to sustain this work and to see many know the love and healing power of God in their spirit, soul, and bodies. You can continue to support what God is doing at MomAfricainc.com/donate.
